When developing our reptile diets, our priority was to create a recipe packed with high-quality, nutritious ingredients while ensuring every feed remains safe, fresh and consistent from the first serving to the last.

After careful research, we chose to include potassium sorbate in our formulation. It's used in a very small amount to help protect the food from spoilage once it has been mixed with water, giving keepers added confidence in the freshness and quality of every feed.

Potassium sorbate is a widely used food preservative that helps prevent the growth of moulds, yeasts and certain bacteria. It is the potassium salt of sorbic acid, a compound that naturally occurs in some fruits, including strawberries, cranberries & rowan berries.

Although commercial potassium sorbate is manufactured, it is chemically identical to its naturally occurring counterpart and has an excellent safety record in both human and animal foods.
